Retiring from the U.S. Navy and a Homeland Security position, gave this veteran some free time to explore new business ventures. Over 15 years sampling handcrafted brews throughout the world, he was ready to put his own hands into the crafted beer business. After being introduced to David his newly found business partner, he eagerly embarked on an ambitious business plan. Two years of putting the business plan into action makes Wil the man with the plan.
QC & Lover of outdoors
Majoring in forestry at WVU, David became a lover of all things outdoors and all things West Virginia. As an avid home brewer, and craft beer enthusiast, the idea of a beer based business was fostered. David joined forces with Wil to make his dreams of a business in craft beer a reality. David’s love for the great state of West Virginia is directly depicted in the marketing, naming several of the beers after local legends and mythical figures. Equipped with a head full of big ideas and passion, you are sure to see some unique ideas coming soon.
Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Jeff moved to West Virginia in the mid-90’s to attend college and has been visiting and living in the Lewisburg area ever since. While wearing many hats professionally, he is excited to be joining the craft beer world. His past work has included being a professional stage manager as well as a geologist. Travel enlightened him to help develop I-Treks, a smartphone application providing custom tours around West Virginia and soon to select locations out of state. As a caver, outdoor enthusiast and traveler, an appreciation for good beer after a long day of exploration makes him a perfect fit to the Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company’s motto, “Get out. Explore. Bring Beer.”
Apprenticing under Brian Reymiller, William (Will) learned the ropes and gained confidence to become a Brewer for our growing brewery. Will’s enthusiasm and chemistry background is a perfect fit for the our brand and style. A superhero fueled by beer, can keg it or can it in a matter of minutes.
Brewery Operations Manager
Gary comes to the brewery with years of laboratory, mechanical, and production experience from the Chemical and Dairy Industries. Overseeing the production of our brews, Gary makes sure our facility runs smoothly and efficiently. An avid home brewer, Gary has long been a fan of craft beer and the process of creating good brews.
As our cellar man, (admittedly an awesome title), Travis does much of the work getting our brews to your favorite pub, restaurant and retail store. Helping to fill kegs and cans and building orders, Travis is our last line of defense before our brews head out into the world.
Tap Room Manager
Christina has recently migrated from our canning line to become our Tap Room Manager. She is full of great ideas and an infectious laugh. Give her a “Cheers!” when you stop by.
Canning Line Manager
Julia has been with us for over a year and loves WV and WV craft brew. You might also catch her pouring GVBC as she sometimes helps out behind the bar.
